Summerhouse Textiles is a wholesale showroom.
We sell exclusively to registered designers and stores.

Summerhouse was conceived in 1992 to provide a selection of fine washable fabrics for designers seeking more environmentally-friendly choices.

We are very pleased to announce that ALL of our fine Belgian Linen textiles have been tested and can now wear the ECO-LINEN label: no chemical residues are found in the final product. Additionally, our mill complies with all the strict E.E.C rules and European REACH regulations in their manufacturing processes. Flax (the plant that supplies the fiber for the weaving of linen) requires no irrigation; 100% of the plant is utilized (no waste) , it is biodegradable or recyclable.

We offer wonderfully touchable textiles in a wide range of colors, textures, fibers and patterns.
Our line has grown to include fabrics which are not washable, primarily for upholstery, but the majority of our products are pre-laundered - free of the chemical fiber treatments that contain toxic substances. The perfect choice for slipcovers, pillows, window treatments, bed treatments: for any items that may be removed for cleaning. Washable fabrics do not require the use of chemical drycleaning products to be kept clean: mild soap in cool water will remove dirt , lint, dander and other allergens more effectively, without leaving toxic residues. Our product line reflects our ongoing commitment to offer beautiful and durable products which are made of fibers farmed sustainably and processed and woven in an environmentally-friendly manner. As the demand for these "green" textiles increases, more choices are becoming available, and the meaning behind the various certifications applicable to the cultivating, processing, weaving, dying, and distributing eco-friendly products is becoming more widely understood. It is our goal to provide clear, honest, and meaningful data to our customers; we ask our suppliers to provide us with documentation to support all "green product" definitions we apply to our products.

Our website is intended to operate as an electronic showroom, to allow easy viewing of our product line and provide current information about our products, from any location, 24 hours a day. Personal customer service is available during our business hours only, please use our e-mail service to request swatches anytime. While we do our best to represent our fabrics in photographs, it is not possible to communicate color or texture adequately: we provide swatches and "cuttings for approval" at no charge , upon request, for accurate representation.

OUR PRIVACY POLICY: All information provided to Summerhouse will remain confidential. We do not share or release information of any kind to anyone.

We strive to maintain current information on availability of the products we carry, however, all fabrics and trims are subject to change in availability without notice

Placing orders

Please see our " Contact Us & Ordering" page for an electronic order form, or Fax or e-mail a Purchase order to us. A confirming Invoice will be e-mailed or faxed to you with payment options (we accept Visa, Mastercard, and checks), freight charges, and availability of the items. All responses will be made during business hours only: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 11-4, Thursday 11 - 1 (pacific time)
(We do not currently offer on-line "shopping cart" purchasing)
